1PM - UP IN THE AIR: 2017 DRONE LAW UPDATE Leader: Brian Rothery, Mark Connot and Christopher Beall With an ever-changing drone law landscape you've got to keep up to date.  Our speakers will provide an overview of the laws governing aerial cinematographers, exemptions that may be most useful to their operation and various forms of intellectual property available to protect innovations in the field.  In addition, the panel will address legal questions surrounding the use of drone photography for news and media and the First Amendment provisions that safeguard use of this technology.

DAY OF DRONES @ LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER

The Day of Drones is loaded with experiences to excite every drone enthusiast. This year's Day of Drones will include Drone racing, Drone EXPO,  Freestyle FPV competition, Flight demonstration cage, screenings of the 2017 New York City Drone Film Festival winners and second-to-none educational sessions.

All sessions are available on a first come first serve basis for festival pass holders. This is a growing list so keep your eyes locked.

Sessions start at 9am. Schedule will be available in early March. 

COLOR CORRECTION FOR DRONE CINEMA Leader: Luisa Winters Type: Master Class (Festival Pass required) She’s a drone pilot and also a Master Adobe Educator. In this dynamic session, Luisa Winters will cover the theory and technique necessary for getting your footage looking better than ever through the use of color correction.
